Two-wheelered to the salon...and a THANK YOU!

Hello all!  I'm SOOO happy to see that I have exactly 50 followers on my blog.  I wanted to thank every one of you who follow both publicly and anonymously and for those that leave such great, and helpful comments.  I truly appreciate your support and I read every comment (and try to respond to all)!  A HUGE thank you!

I finally was able to go to the salon today during my lunch hour.  Oh how great that felt!  I love it when a stylist is nice, talkative, and explains techniques to me while styling my hair.  The girl at 7 Salon named Jewel was great!  I'd definitely go back to her.  7 Salon is known for giving you haircuts and styles that suits your natural facial bone structure.  When Jewel saw me, she knew exactly what I wanted.  I didn't want to reduce the length much because I will be wearing my hair down and curled for my wedding.  But she knew with Asian hair, it's hard to get volume.  So she gave me the right amount of layers to help with that problem.

I took a snap shot really quick in the changing room of the salon

Jewel also taught me how to recreate this look at home, which I always appreciate when stylists do this.  :)

As you can see from the picture above, I wore my two-wheeler today.  It was going to be in the 90's today, so I knew I needed something that 1. didn't need a cardi, and 2. was cotton.  The two-wheeler fit the bill.  I have gotten so many compliments on this dress so far.  Even the MALE receptionist at the salon said he loved it.  Every time I wear this, I don't want to take it off.  The fit, the fabric, the color...everything about it makes me feel pretty!  The very last thing I want to do is tie my hair back, take this dress off and go to the gym.  Ahhh...but I have to...after work.  Poo!

Dress - Two-Wheeler Dress (Anthropologie)

  1. The dress fits you perfectly! I love that you paired it with red pumps (even though we can't see them!).

Your haircut looks great! She did an awesome job!

  3. Oh my gosh - your hair looks amazing, Cindi!!! I'm also really picky about who cuts my hair. Anytime I have moved somewhere different I have made a point to locate the best salon in my area. My hair is the one thing I am willing to pay a ton for. But I haven't had a cut in so long, so my stylist is probably going to be horrified when she sees me next month and has to deal with my mop. :)

  4. Good hair! I'm with Aimee - I don't blink about spending $200 on my hair (egads, it looks worse in writing) but will hem and haw about a $20 dress. I always walk out of the salon feeling like a million bucks - though it quickly degrades to about $1.27 the next day when I was my hair and realize it won't look salon good again anytime soon.

Rambling aside, I think you look great in the Two Wheeler dress and Looping Lanes belt - do you mind me asking how you felt about the belt sizing? I kind of want to get it, but have heard conflicting reports on the size. Thanks!

  5. Melissa & Erin - I wish I had this Victoria Secret hair everyday! Haha...it'd sure make a girl feel better about herself. I am like totally tosseling it right now. Ahh...so flirty!

Aimee - I'm like the exact opposite of you! Haha I'm so cheap on my hair. I use just Dove shampoo and get my hair cut every 6 months or so. And the reason why I went to 7 Salon was because I got a half off coupon that I purchased from Groupon.com! Haha.

Lisa - Ha! I feel ya about not being able to recreate that look. I wish I had four arms and a $300 blow dryer at home! Have you seen that infomercial about the wand thing that holds up the hairdryer for you? It's hilarious!

About the belt, I actually love it and I got a large. I think I could have gotten away with a medium as it sometimes slip a little. For a better reference though, my friend Jean is a size 0-2 in dresses and she bought the smallest size (either S or XS) and it fits her fine. Hope this helps and hope you get to get it! :)

  6. You look great in your two-wheeler. I love that dress so much, but sadly it just didn't work for me. I wanted it to so bad. I was in between sizes and so I had to pass. sigh! You hair looks fantastic! I love a good stylist. I'm in serious need of a cut and color.

  13. Lorraine - I'm sorry the two-wheeler didn't work for you. I was obsessing over this dress for what seemed like weeks and when I finally got it, PERFECTION!

LC - I was melting too. Thank goodness it'll cool down to the 80's this weekend. We just can't handle the heat here! Haha.

Sara - Haha funny you mention that because during the whole session, she was saying how she wanted to make it look like a Victoria Secret model!

Kathryn - I always admire your hair from afar! Haha. I love it and wish mine was as full as yours.

Michelle Q, Carol, sophiebee, goldenmeans - THANK YOU!!! You girls sure know how to make me feel GOOOOOOD!
