Happy Donut Day and a Two-Wheeler!

Howdy howdy and happy Friday!  I just got out of our Fritter Friday meeting and we had a Mr. Wheeler (our Director of Operations) give a presentation.  I thought it was pretty appropriate for it to be national donuts day and the day that I purchased my two-wheeler dress!  Yes, girls!  I've done it.  I finally bought her and I can't wait to put her on.  I went online as soon as I got in and ordered that baby.  I did notice though that only sizes 6 and 8 were available today.  The rest of the sizes are available June 10th.  For those out there that have to wait, I know your pain.  Be patient and she will be yours!  I ordered the dress in my true size so hopefully it works out.

Anyhoo, I'm proud to say I'm back with a new OOTD!  I was determined to get all the dead skin off of my face last night so I was peelin' away.  Sounds great doesn't it?  But now my face feels like a baby's bottom!  I need to remind myself to get more facials in the future.  :)  So, I bought the dress I'm wearing today in Santa Monica this weekend.  My girls saw the Horizon Dress I was going to wear to go out that night and immediately veto'd it.  Not because it wasn't cute, but because it was not club/party appropriate, rather more church appropriate.  Marla, one of my bridesmaids, said I'd look like her mother!  I also showed her the light pink cardi I was going to pair with it and she about fainted.  I was determined to find something more "sexy" so I saw this little number hanging in the Urban Outfitters on the Promenade.  I tried it on, realized I brought a belt and a necklace that matched in my luggage and voila!  Instant non-milf outfit.  :)  So for my stag night, I wore just this dress with some pumps.  It was quite short, but after a few drinks, I totally forgot how short it was!  *wink wink*

I typically don't buy anything if I didn't think I'd be able to make it into a work appropriate outfit.  To make it work, I put a cardi over it, tights underneath and put on some knee high boots.  It's rainy today (what else is new right?) so I got away with wearing boots in June!  So here it is:

Dress: Pins and Needles Ruffle Dress - blue/periwinkle in color (Urban Outfitters)
Cardigan: Gray Boyfriend Cardi (Nordstrom- Halogen)
Belt: Gray Snakebite (Anthropologie)
Black Hue Tights
Black Knee High Boots
Necklace - Forever 21

Also, yesterday I posted a picture of my cat and mentioned how he greets me everyday when I get home from work.  So, here he is greeting me yesterday...isn't he a cutie?

Happy Friday everyone and hope everyone have some fun weekend plans going on.  I will be back tomorrow with a fun OOTD.  =P

  3. Sammie - Don't you just love that cardigan? I love how halogen items are very high in quality but not so high in price. :)

Sara - Did you see my new entry? The two-wheeler dress is available! I also ordered in a size 4. Hehe...just in case!

  6. You're like me. My sister *never* wants to go out with me because I'm hopeless when it comes to dressing for night. I like your choice and that you made it work for the office!!

  7. I really love your work outfit! I think I need to direct my sister to your blog - she's always complaining about how she has nothing to wear for work or um... job interviews now since she was laid off about 6 months months ago. But you really know how to put a work appropriate outfit together and look amazing at the same time! I'm impressed.
As for the Two-Wheeler - did you size down? If so or even if not, what size are you normally and what size did you order in the dress? I usually wear a 4 in anthro dresses, but all the online reviews are saying to size down.
Love that cat! He's so stinkin' cute!

  8. Cat - Isn't it a sad, sad thing? Haha...I just can't see myself spending on hoochie clothes just to wear them in the bars or clubs since I go to those places about once in a lifetime now!

Aimee - Thank you so much for that lovely comment! I always always have "will I be able to wear this for work?" when I'm shopping. Unless I'm buying clothes specifically for lounging or evening wear or whatever.

The two-wheeler dress I decided to order my true size and a smaller size. I typically wear a 6 in Anthro dresses so I ordered a 6 and a 4. Don't you love free shipping? :)
