Since I live in Seattle, it's pretty safe to assume that I love my coffee. What I love most on a Sunday lazy afternoon, or any lazy afternoon, is going to a local coffee shop, enjoy a nice cup of joe and either people watch or internet surf (or write in my blog:)). A lot of people call themselves a coffee snob because they only drink Starbucks. I love Starbucks as a company (in fact I've worked there before as they were one of my clients) but I seriously do not like their coffee. For me, it tastes burnt and I like my coffee bold, but smooth. Today, I'm at a local shop in the neighborhood of Ballard. One of the most fun and eclectic neighborhoods in Seattle, I lived here for a mere four months before moving to Los Angeles (for a short lived 7 months). Firehouse serves Caffe Vita and it is very yummy. One of my favorites! They also allow doggies in side the cafe, so Chris snapped a picture of my beloved Chewy and I working together on my blog.
We also took a visit to our house that's currently being built for us. It's about 80% complete and Chris and I are super excited. This is going to be our first house together as a couple, and a married couple at that! We're set to move in two months before our wedding. EEEK! I know I know, you're thinking what a crazy year it's going to be! Crazy is right! And thank goodness for clothes and shoes to keep me sane!
Speaking of shoes, I've totally fell in love with this seasons Seychelles collection. I mean hello!!! Aren't these the cutest open toed flats you've ever seen? And what's most important is they are comfortable! I can walk a hundred miles in these. I swear I don't know how I used to waitress on high heels for five hours straight. When you're young, I guess everything works the way it should, including one's feet! Now I can't walk four blocks in high heels without complaining to someone about the pain. What is this aging thing anyway? Aging sucks! But I digress, these shoes are beautiful and as you can see from my picture with Chewy above, today was a lazy Sunday, so I was very casual so no OOTD. Just my Juicy hoodie (ok don't judge me, I said I lived in LA =)) and jeans with the aforementioned cute sandles.
Before I leave you for the night, I just have to give a shout out to Chipotle. People that know me know that I have an undying love for Chipotle's chicken salad bowls. I try to eat as healthy as I can (although I sure do love my bacon cheeseburger every now and then) and I love how their meats are natural and some times organic. But recently I've jazzed up my chicken bowls with Sriracha hot sauce. Or what I call "rooster sauce". The combination of spicy and limey just creates such a great party in my mouth. :) I love it. Nom nom nom.
Hope everyone have a great rest of your Sunday! Tomorrow is work...yech!
I have been eyeing those exact flats - oh my gosh they are great! I am so excited to see them on - I love them even more now! How does the sizing run?
ReplyDeleteHi Erin, thanks for following my blog first of all! I hope you stick around because there are some exciting things coming! :)
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE LOVE these flats. They run pretty true to size, unlike the Get Outta Town sandals which run half a size bigger (which I have also). The sole on these have a really good cushion, which make walking very pleasureable. :)
I love these sunny yellow flats too. Ballard has a special place in my heart. I have a very good friend that lives there :)
