PWC - Post Wedding Chop

Hello all!  I was under the weather yesterday and stayed at home to rejuvenate but I'm back today!  This past weekend I finally was able to get my PWC...post wedding chop!  My long wedding hair was killing me so I was excited about taking some of the length off.  I decided this time I'd try a boutique salon in my favorite Seattle neighborhood...Ballard.  There are several smaller salons there but I've never been inclined to try them.  I've heard good things about Tart, a salon with just four stylists, each of them rent a desk from the owner.  It's discreet store front is easy to miss if you're not paying attention.  You enter through a glass door just to go downstairs, turn a few corners and you're at the salon.

My stylist, Rachel, was really hard to get an appointment with.  She's the one with the shaved head on the right.  I had to wait almost three weeks for a Saturday appointment with her.

And voila!  I didn't expect her to chop off this much, but after I saw the result, I loved it.  I felt so much lighter and this gives me the opportunity to grow it out however I like it.  It felt so bouncy and fun!
Since I lost a couple of pounds of hair, I had to get it back somehow.  For dinner that night...here's what the hubs and I had...
Five guys double cheeseburger with bacon!  Oh boy...once I downed this, I had no room for anything else.  This was right after we watched Social Network, which I will review during a later post.  :)

And before I leave you, I finally got a chance to see Chewy while my parents were over this weekend.  And what a cutie he is!

  2. PWC= clever!
I am thinking about a PWD= post wedding dye job or lowlights or something. All of a sudden the blonde hair is looking pretty brassy and summery, I am considering something darker.

That dog is precious! what a teddy bear!

  6. Love the haircut! So soft and feminine. It is definitely worth the wait! I tried a different hair stylist after we move last year. There were hair salon every block down the street so I decided to try one of them instead of driving to my old stylist. What a mistake! I end up having to have to go back to my old stylist to get it fix after the cut and had to wait for a long time before my hair grew back to its original length.

  10. Thank you, girls!!! I know the pics are hard to see so I'll be back with a better pic soon.

Yi - OH NO! That hair stylist sounds horrible. I'm typically not too worried about trying new people out. I've actually never stuck with one stylist before. I guess I've just been lucky!

  12. Love the PWC! I really wish I was brave enough to get a bob, but I only ever get a few inches off and always leave feeling "meh" about it. I guess I'd just rather feel "meh" than afraid to show my face in public because of a horrible cut.

Oh and I LOVE Five Guys! The first time I ever went I just got the regular burger and an order of fries and I felt like I was eating for days! I've since learned to share the fries and to get a kids burger :)

They just put in a 5 Guys at the mall by house. Before it was on the other side of town and now it's literally 10 minutes away. I love their fries and the peanuts :) YUM!

  16. Your hair looks great! I like how she feathered (no idea if that's the right term) at the ends to make it less weighty. Chewy is a-frickin-dorable!

    Hope you're feeling better soon!
