Project 52 and Top 10!

I've been engulfed by Jasmine Star's blog lately.  Jasmine is a world renowned wedding photographer based out of Orange County.  Not only is she talented and started her business out of nothing, she's cute and as funny as anyone can be.  Her FAQ entries on her blog is really helpful for those that want to learn about her tricks of the trade when it comes to photography.  She's inspired me and upon reading some of her blog comments, I ran into Ashley's blog Photo Journey from A to P.  She's challenging all new or experienced photographer to what is called Project 52!  Each week, for up to 52 weeks, she'll post a theme and you are challenged to take a picture around that theme.  I'm so excited as this week's theme is "around the house".  I will be posting my first challenge picture Sunday because I need day time lighting for a good inside shot.  So stay tuned!  I'm going to try to keep this Project 52 challenge as a special Sunday feature.

Another thing I'm super excited about, but haven't had the chance to post yet, is that I made Anthroholic's Top 10 Reader Outfits of 2010 list!  Kim of Anthroholic is one of the best bloggers I know and she's one of the people that inspired me to start my own blog, so imagine the wide-eyed-drool-inducing excitement when I saw myself on her list.  She's like a star to me, and for her to single me out...it's mind "bottling".  Haha!  Below is the picture I submitted for my reader's outfit.  It was taken by our wedding photographer, Erwin Wijanto and part of our engagement pictures:
And here's a closer look of the Beda dress I wore for the shoot.

Ahh...it's a happy Friday indeed.  I wish everyone a happy weekend as well!

best of luck on project 52! i tried a 365 project last year and didn't make it past 2 months. 52 weeks is much more manageable! are you going to post your photos anywhere else, like flickr?
