First Wedding Shoot Outfit

It is almost 11 pm and Chris and I just got home from running errands in preparation for tomorrow's wedding.  If the wedding photography business is going to be like this, I might have to rethink this.  JUST KIDDING!!!  Although I'm exhausted, it's a good tired.  I'm so pumped for tomorrow!!!

So what does one wear to their first wedding shoot?  I've always observed photographers at the weddings I've attended and they always seem to wear dark colors.  Wearing black and grays allow them to be ninja-like since they're constantly moving to get the right shot.  At my own wedding this past August, during our first dance, I don't remember noticing the photographers around me at all.  But when we watched some videos our guests took, they were right next to us, moving swiftly around us.  It wasn't noticeable at all.  As such, I've decided to wear this dress for tomorrow:
Note that I'll also have a long black cardigan with this, I just don't have a picture of it right now.  This dress is made of a jersey material which makes it really comfortable and easy to move around in.  It's not restricting in any way.  Because it's January in Seattle and the forecast calls for rain tomorrow, I'll also be wearing black tights underneath.

The shoes were important to me.  As an ex-waitress, I know what it takes to stand on my feet for 8 hours on end and I know I need comfortable shoes.  I waitressed in my late teens/early 20's and I'm not that young anymore.  So standing on my feet the whole day might result in a cranky Cindi.  And I wouldn't want to bring the wrath that is Cranky Cindi onto any bride.  I went to hunt for some cute ballet flats, but much to my disappointment, all the ones I tried on cut into either my heel or small toe.  I had to keep in mind though that the soles of the shoes had to be made of rubber.  Any shoes that would make a clicking sound on hardwood or tiled floor, I didn't even try on because I would not want my clacking shoes to be noticed during those important vows.  So...I ended up getting these but in black:

These booties are SO comfortable by Munro.  I've never heard of this brand until today and as I was reading through reviews on Nordstroms online, I noticed every person that reviewed these babies were over the age of 60!  I guess that means they must be very comfortable right?  They are also pretty cute on as well.

My camera bag is packed, clothes are laid out, and water repellent sprayed on my shoes.  Now I'm just going to review some notes and online photos for inspiration and off to bed.  WISH ME LUCK TOMORROW!!! Good night!
