Revealed: Shootsac

About two months ago, I revealed my new camera bag I bought off of Etsy which I LOVE and without it, I definitely would not be having half as much fun shooting on the weekends.  What's currently in my camera bag is my camera body, two lenses, wallet, CF cards, extra battery, battery charger, kleenex, and sometimes a bottle of water.  I noticed that when I'm on site and busy shooting away, sometimes I FEEL a perfect shot coming and I want to switch from my 50mm lens to my 85mm,, let's say.  But it's not that easy because the bag itself isn't really designed for easy access to my lenses.  Maybe due to all the other crap I've got in there, but I'd have to flip up the flap, dig my hands into the bag and fumble around until I get to my lens.

So...enter the Shootsac...

The Shootsac was designed by a photographer who was probably fed up by the lack of camera bags out there that doesn't scream "I'm a tourist" or something that looks like you've packed your whole closet into a shoulder bag.  It's made with neoprene material that will protect your lenses from water and bumping into hard surfaces.  Weighing in at only 7 oz, it's so light, which won't add additional weight as you're running around with your gear.

The bag consists of three compartments, so you can fit three lenses.  Or you can have two lenses and one flash.  It's totally up to you.  Each compartment holds the lens tightly...as if it's receiving a special hug from the bag.  It definitely feels secure and you can rest assured that your lenses aren't bumping into one another in the bag.  The backside also has three tight compartments for you to store your CF or memory cards and IDs, money, or extra batteries.  Whatever you'd like.  This is a lens bag, so it does not hold the camera body.  Which is why I still will need my Etsy bag.  This one will just be with me when I'm in action!

The best part is that the bag's cover is interchangeable!  The basic comes with a black cover, but I purchased a set that came with an extra designer cover.  I just love it...totally girly like me!

The cover is secured by velcro, so changing them is easy cheesy!

Here's a look of the signature Shootsac logo.  So simple, but it totally represents the bag.

I'll make sure to have Chris take a pic of me with this on this weekend so you guys can see it on.  Can't wait! :)

  3. Sounds like a very functional purchase. Hope it allows you to capture the shots you're picturing. And that cover is too cute. I would keep that adorable floral cover on nonstop, even if it is interchangeable :)

  5. Thank you girls! I can't wait to pose with it on. Hehehe.

Jan - No I have not because I don't use a camera strap when I shoot. It gets in my way. But I bet they'll have some wonderful unique ones! Let me know what you get!
