Introducing Lucy and Family

This past Sunday Chris and I were so lucky to have had the opportunity to photography baby Lucy and her family.  We knew about Lucy and her parents through Paul, a long time high school friend of mine from high school.  Paul's one of those guys that everyone loves.  He used to work at Washington Mutual and was my personal banker of sorts in college, looking after my bank accounts and advised me on better account management.  He would even sneak some money in my account when he noticed it was running low and I was at risk of an overdraft.  He's THAT thoughtful and when I mentioned to him that I wanted to photograph him and his girlfriend, Quyhn, he automatically thought of Lucy and her parents, who are related to Quyhn (Lucy's mom, Sophie, is Quyhn's sister).

We've never met Sophie, her husband Joey, and Lucy before so we didn't know what to expect when we arrived at their house.  They were so gracious for us to start there because we knew for a baby, we needed to be in a comfortable environment where the baby will be safe and have space to spread out.  Lucy is one of the cutest babies I've ever met in my life!  I seriously wanted to sneak her in my shootsac and take her home with me because she was THAT adorable.  Sophie and Joey work in sync together and I could tell they were a great team.  Sophie was prepared with cute outfits and poses for the shoot, which is always appreciated by a photographer!  And Joey was there supporting Sophie and Lucy every step of the way.  We spent pretty much all Sunday afternoon with Lucy and Family and it was one of the best shoots we've had.

Thank you, Sophie, Joey and Lucy for such a wonderful Sunday afternoon!  And thank you, Paul and Quyhn for hanging out afterwards and for dinner.  Oh...and introducing us to Hiroki!  We have a confession to make...we went there last night thinking they were open and wanted a slice of that green tea tiramisu...but they closed at 4 pm???  What the heck?  :)  Enjoy these pictures!

Uncle Paul was trying to steal Lucy's thunder by taking her bow!  Bad, bad Uncle Paul!

Look at those cute little mittens!

We were able to capture Lucy's first ROLL OVER on camera!  It was hilarious and I still chuckle when I think about it and look at these!

Uncle Paul and Auntie Quyhn, what a cute couple!
