Full Circle After a Full Week!

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!  I'm SOOO ready for the weekend and I'm sure YOU are too.

This morning we received another Full Circle delivery so I thought I'd show you guys what I got.  Last week I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of my contents, but this week, I remembered.  And I'm just as excited!

Just look at the lovely greens, yellows, purples, and reds!  Here's what I got this week:
  • Celery
  • Cioppolini Onion
  • Beets, Baby Chioggia
  • Broccoli
  • Mangs
  • Red Bell Peppers
  • Tangelos
  • Garlic
  • Cremini Mushrooms
  • Red Chard
After eating organic fruits and veggies for a couple of weeks now, this is what I've learned:
1. If your vegetable at your super market is GINORMOUS, wonder why.  If those onions or celery stalks are so huge, there has got to be chemicals in there.
2. If it's from the ground and it's fresh, there will be dirt.  The leafy veggies I got needed repeated washing or else you'll be chewing up dirt.
3. Organic veggies are TASTY!  They're OH SO GOOD.  Celery taste like celery, onions are sweet, and the beets are succulent.
I have a bunch of things I want to make this weekend.  Now see why I'm ready for it to come?  :)  Food make Cindi happy.  :)

  1. Nice pictures Cindi!
I've never tried organic vegetables - is there really a noticeable taste difference? The veges here look very fresh. I always wash my fruits and veges before eating due to the chemicals - not sure whether this is enough though!

  2. Wow, the colors just pop! I've grown swiss chard in my garden and they taste so good stir fried. I've tried growing broccoli once, but once you snip off the flowers, that's it for the season. so this full circle is def worth it! i wish they offered this in my podunk town.

  3. Beautiful colors. The ones I can taste the difference are more of the fruits. Organic and non-organic strawberry, big different in taste. I worry more about pesticide more. If they are not spray for bugs, I am OK with the fertilizer part. Especially Onions, they have such thick skin, they are way down on the list in terms of pesticide, so I save some money for not buying them organic. But something high like potato, or peach, Organic is the way to go.

  4. Your produce looks delicious! Yum!!! I totally agree with your list - fruits/veges are not supposed to be ginormous and yes, organic tastes so much better (the way things are supposed to taste)! Have fun cooking this weekend! Something I recently learned is that you can eat the beet tops too (the leafy part - they are very similar to chard).

  5. Food makes me happy too haha. So jealous of your camera bag by the way! I've been looking for a good one myself. I would order it from Shootsac, but if it's coming in from overseas, I get charged a ridiculous amount for income tax and custom duty! So I must keep looking, but definitely loving yours :)

I don't like leaving my link normally but I don't use blogspot and your blog doesn't have the Name/URL option available. Just so you know where I'm coming from :)
