Hello everyone! Oh you have no idea how I've missed all of you out there in my little bloggy world, but I do have to say that I just had a blast of a week! The best times of my life happened in the last few days including getting married and going on the honeymoon. I can not wait to post pictures of the wedding and the honeymoon, but I thought first thing's first, and start by posting an entry about our rehearsal dinner.
Now, I know I had revealed to everyone that my outfit for the rehearsal dinner involved the Discovery Lace Dress here. But on the day of the dinner, it was pouring down rain nonstop so I decided it wasn't the best idea to be wearing a silk dress. Luckily, the week before I visited my local Anthro and saw the Drifting By Dress on the sale rack. It was the same dress I originally tried on, with the missing button in the back. I happened to ask one of the SA's to see if I can get a discount due to the missing button, and she was kind enough to give me 20% off!!! Well then, I just couldn't resist not buying the dress, and it was a good thing I did. The Drifting By Dress was a great substitute for the rehearsal dinner outfit. And here it is:
I loved this dress so much! It was so comfortable and made me feel pretty the whole night. I matched the dress with my Halogen grey sweater and the purple Sofft suede shoes. I can't wait to find another occasion to wear this again.
Here's also a few pictures from our rehearsal dinner. All our wedding party and close family and friends came that night. They all had a great time, especially my parents and uncle and aunt. The food was delicious as well at the local Lombardi's Italian restaurant. It was definitely a night to remember!
We had an U shaped setup and it just so turned out that the left side was my family and friends and the right side sat Chris' family and friends.
My uncle and aunt (my mom's second youngest brother) and my parents.
Chris' groomsmen...from left: John (best man), Justin (Chris' younger brother), Homer (Chris' cousin), Nikko (Homer's son).
The bride and groom to be! Smiling for the camera.
The day before the wedding, we were busy running errands and Chris decides he wants to carry me through the "threshold". This was right before he drove me to my parents' house, where I spent the night.
Stay tuned for more to come, folks! I am also slowly catching up with all your blog posts so you might see some comments on your older entries. :) Have a wonderful Labor Day, everyone!
