I was lucky enough to have Chewy come into my life about six years ago. I went to a garlic festival on a Saturday and saw a bunch of adorable dogs there. That following Monday, I decided to adopt Chewy. It was one of the most impulsive decisions I've ever made, but definitely one of the best. Like all dog owners that adore their pups, I think Chewy is the best doggie in the world. He seriously knows everything...when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm sick, and when I'm excited. I can not imagine what I'd do without him in our lives. For the past six years, he's also brought so much joy to my parents...which means the world to me. There's not a day that goes by without me thinking how are we ever going to live without him.
And this is the reason why my heart goes out to Lori. Her doggie, Buddie, was recently diagnosed with cancer and have already gone through two surgeries. If you keep up with Lori's blog, you know what a light spirited person she is. Her OOTD pictures often will have Buddie in them, posing with her. Although I've never met her in person, I know she's a kind hearted person that loves her pup to pieces. And to find that he's so sick, it breaks my heart. I know she won't give up hope. And that her and her husband will do everything they can to ease Buddie back into good health. My thoughts are with her and her family so I ask that you visit her wonderful blog...bring her some good thoughts and cheers.

ReplyDeleteYes, isn't Lori's story just hearbreaking? I don't have a pet but i really feel for her.
Our pets are our kids w. two extra feet aren't they:) I have 3 pooches myself and I adore them dearly. I felt a lump in my throat when I visited Lori's blog. Thanks for directing my over there.
ReplyDeleteChewy is super super adorable. That's so awful for Lori, and I hope things get better for her dog soon.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up I was never a dog person, but now I just cannot imagine my life without a furry friend. People who don't own dogs or have never owned one will never understand the amazing loyalty a dog has for its owner, their nonjudgmental existence, and the needed humor they bring to our lives. I truly feel sorry for those who never get to experience that special bond that develops between dog and owner.
ReplyDeleteI just now quickly glanced over at Lori's blog. I'll have to read it more carefully later. My heart totally goes out to her.
